Amefruits awarded the Company award at the V Radio Orihuela Awards for its commitment to the Environment and Climate Change

Amefruits is an export and import company of fresh fruits and vegetables, specialized in garlic and citrus. The company was born in 2004 thanks to the initiative and entrepreneurship of two friends, both with experience in the agri-food sector.

The quality of all products sold, and the origin of it, since all those that are possible to grow in our area due to its climate are acquired from the same, obtaining local products and promoting agriculture in Vega Baja, makes the company have grown and evolved both in 19 years, past of 3 workers to 300 in template and 600 in seasonal times, and from being a small company to exporting its products to more than 50 countries.

Besides, the high demands in terms of quality and hygiene and a constant investment in innovation, makes Amefruits an example in its commitment to environmentally friendly measures, which made it win the Company award last Friday at the V Radio Orihuela Awards for its commitment to the Environment and Climate Change, measures such as the reduction of ammonia in cold rooms, the use of recycled water in irrigation, the change from garlic bags made of plastic to bags made of compostable material, cotton or paper have made Amefruits worthy of this award. All measures adapt to the Agenda 2030 of the European Community.  

Amefruits has three warehouses, two of them garlic and one citrus, and central offices. One of the warehouses specialized in peeled garlic is the one located in the Puente Alto Industrial Estate.: “We always try to evolve and adapt to current events.”, to the measurements and demands of customers, to offer you the best producers and a great service”, expresses Paco Giménez, Marketing and Sales Manager.
